Basic InformationBasic Information
Enter the appropriate information. See below for field descriptions.
Enable Equipment History Tracking:
When checked, e-automate tracks any and all configured equipment in
your system.
Note: You specify the level
of detail of tracked information based on the setup of the tracking
configurations you create or use. Before enabling Equipment History
Tracking you should be familiar with tracking functionality (See the
Equipment History Tracking section in e-automate online help).
Skip tracking information screen if no required fields need to be filled out: When checked, if equipment tracking is enabled and you generate a trackable transaction with no required fields for the transaction, e-automate does not display the information tracking window.
Forward information from one piece of equipment to the next upon collection: When checked, any information assigned to a group of equipment on an initial order will follow each equipment item through the process of sales, billing, etc.
Treat the customer attribute as the equipment’s location and set the equipment’s customer to the location’s parent customer: When checked, e-automate sets the customer on the equipment automatically as the master customer (parent), if any, and the equipment location to the location customer (child) on Equipment History Tracking transactions.
Enable equipment location edit: When checked, e-automate allows equipment location to be edited.
Next equipment number: When Equipment History Tracking is enabled, e-automate auto-generates equipment numbers for equipment when they are received. This feature allows you to accurately track equipment status and attributes. Enter a number for the next equipment to be assigned.
Default SLA code: The default service
hour and response hour code assigned to created equipment.
Note:
If you want to define a custom SLA code or edit an existing SLA code,
use the SLA code field's drop-down menu
to select New or Edit, respectively. For SLA
code setup information, see the Creating
SLA Codes topic. For information on defining or editing company
hours, see the Creating
Company Hours topic.
Enable Meters: When checked, e-automate allows you to track meter readings on any and all equipment in your system.
Default meter source: Indicates the default meter source. This default can be overridden at the time you enter a meter reading. The default options are fax, estimated, phone, and other.
Default meter estimate based on last 3 months history: When checked, e-automate will assign the default meter source based on the most used source during the previous 3 months.
Meter validation buffer: Validation meter buffer refers to the buffer you want to allow on a meter reading that is greater than a calculated average. The buffer percentage is taken and multiplied by a 6 month average in the system. If the buffer is 25%, e-automate multiplies the meter reading by 1.25. If the amount is 25% more than the 6-month average, e-automate will warn you.
Allow accessory consumption of serialized items: When checked, the system allows accessories to absorb or consume the cost of serialized items into the host. For example, if you have a copier worth $10,000 and a serialized finisher worth $1,000, when you attach the finisher to the host equipment, the new cost of the host is $11,000.
Default serialized items to consumed: When checked, e-automate assumes you will always want serialized items to be consumed by their host equipment.
Allow accessory consumption of non-serialized items: When checked, the system allows accessories to absorb or consume the cost of non-serialized items into the host. For example, if you have a copier worth $10,000 and a toner cartridge worth $100, when you attach the toner to the host equipment, the new cost of the host is $10,100.
Default non-serialized items to consumed: When checked, e-automate assumes you will always want non-serialized items to be consumed by their host equipment.
