Integrating ConnectWise Manage with E-automate (Overview)
You can integrate ConnectWise Manage with e-automate to reduce duplicate data entry requirements between the two systems. This integration requires separate licensing. Contact your account manager for more information.
To integrate ConnectWise Manage with e-automate, you need to:
Meet the system requirements:
E-automate 17.2+
An e-automate company database name that includes the Co prefix (e.g., CoSample)
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1+
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SP3+
Additional update patches as required to support the integration
Provide ECI with API access to ConnectWise Manage
Map data between the two systems
Match e-automate parent/child customer records with ConnectWise Manage company/site records
Define a ConnectWise user in e-automate for reporting purposes
Once you have provided this access, you can implement the following processes:
When you create a new parent/child Customer record in e-automate, the system will create the new Company/Site record in ConnectWise Manage.
When you edit an existing parent/child Customer record in e-automate, the system will update the matching Company/Site record in ConnectWise Manage.
When you place/release a credit hold in e-automate, the system will place/release the credit hold in ConnectWise Manage
When you generate a new invoice in ConnectWise Manage that meets applicable billing status filters, the system will begin the invoice extract process which will streamline the creation of a matching invoice in e-automate.
When you post a payment to an invoice in e-automate that was generated via the ConnectWise Manage integration, the system will post the payment to the invoice in ConnectWise Manage.
For implementation details, see the additional topics in this book of the online help.
Security permitting, you can also use a series of ConnectWise Manage e-views to assist with the implementation process and to monitor on-going integration processes. To use these e-views, you must have rights to Custom.ConnectWise eViews and applicable e-view category rights (i.e., Corporate, Favorites, Shared, and/or System). For more information, see the E-Views Security Rights topic.
Once the integration is in place, some processes will be ongoing.
If you are using the integration process to create new Company/Site records in ConnectWise Manage when new Parent/Child Customer records are created in e-automate but you occasionally need to create a new Company/Site record in ConnectWise Manage first, then you will need to manually create and link an e-automate Customer Record to the ConnectWise Manage Company/Site Record.
You can process down payments between ConnectWise Manage and E-automate.
