Partner Mappings
If the system displays the Partner Mappings icon on the tile containing the selected vendor partner's name, then you can access the Partner Mappings page for the selected vendor partner.
The Partner Mappings page displays options for mapping vendor partner terms such as meter codes and units of measure to the equivalent terms in your business software data.
To use Dealer Gateway's Meters features, allowing a vendor to submit customer meter readings into your business software data and request meter readings from your business software data, you need to map the vendor's meter codes to your business software's meter codes.

Mapping Meter CodesMapping Meter Codes
You use the Meter codes mapping table on the Partner Mappings page to map each of the vendor's meter codes to the corresponding meter codes used in your business software.* For example, if the vendor uses BLACK AND WHITE as the meter code for a 'black and white' meter and you use B\W as the meter code for the same 'black and white' meter in your system, you must map the vendor's BLACK AND WHITE meter code to your business software's B\W meter code so that the system knows these two meter codes represent the same 'black and white' meter. If the meter codes are mapped properly between the vendor's system and your business software, Dealer Gateway will know what meter code to use when the vendor submits a customer meter read to—or requests a meter read from—your business software database.
* If a Ricoh or Xerox vendor has a meter code that you do not want Dealer Gateway to process, you can map the vendor's meter code to Do Not Process instead of mapping the vendor's meter code to a meter code in your business software.
To map meter codes, do the following:
Click the Partner Mappings icon in the Partner tile on the Dealer Gateway home page. The Partner Mappings page displays.
Scroll down to the Meter codes mapping table.
The values in the Gateway meter name column of the Meter codes mapping table represent the meter names the vendor is using. For each meter code in the Gateway meter name column, use the drop-down menu in the Meter name column to select the corresponding meter code in your business software database.
Must be defined in the applicable Model record on the Meters tab
Must not be configured as virtual meters
Mapping Units of MeasureMapping Units of Measure
You use the Units mapping table on the Partner Mappings page to map each of the vendor's units of measure to the corresponding unit of measure used in your business software. For example, if the vendor uses 'EA' for 'each' and you use 'EACH' for 'each', you must tell the system that 'EA' and 'EACH' are the same unit of measure. If the units of measure are mapped properly, the unit of measure that you identify in the Partner Mappings region populates the Unit of measure field in e-automate's item record when an item record is added or updated (provided you have configured Dealer Gateway to include unit of measure updates).
To map units of measure, do the following:
Click the Partner Mappings icon in the Partner tile on the Dealer Gateway home page. The Partner Mappings page displays.
Scroll down to the Units mapping table. The values in the Gateway unit column represent the units of measure the vendor is using.
For each of the vendor's units of measure in the Gateway unit column, use the drop-down menu in the Inventory unit column to select the corresponding unit of measure in your business software database that you want Dealer Gateway to use when creating and/or updating item records in your business software database for this vendor unit of measure.
If you want to create a new unit of measure in your business software database to map to the vendor unit, do the following:
Click the + icon to the right of the drop-down menu in the Inventory unit row. The New Inventory Unit window opens.
In the Code field, enter the unit code for the unit.
In the Description field, enter a brief description of the unit.
Click [OK] to close the New Inventory Unit window and create the new inventory unit of measure. The system adds the new unit of measure to your e-automate database.
