Creating Repair Codes

A Repair Code is a short-cut method of specifying which repairs a technician performed on a service call. You use Repair Codes to analyze recurring service issues with equipment.

Getting to the TransactionGetting to the Transaction

On the Tools menu, select Lists and Codes to open the Lists and Codes window.

In the Select a list or code type field, use the drop-down menu to select Repair Codes.

Click [New] to open the New Repair Code window.

Basic InformationBasic Information

Complete the following fields as appropriate:

Repair code: Short code by which you will identify this Repair Code.

Description: Brief description of the Repair Code.

Completing the TransactionCompleting the Transaction

Click [OK] to save the Repair Code.
