Creating Shipping Methods
A shipping method designates the specific method you want to use to ship something, for example, UPS or Federal Express. Shipping methods are used in both the accounts payable and accounts receivable modules.
If you record package tracking information in e-automate, you can request package information from your shipping company’s website directly from e-automate. In order for this functionality to work, you must identify the correct shipping company on your shipping methods.
Getting to the TransactionGetting to the Transaction
On the Tools menu, select Lists and Codes to open the Lists and Codes window.
In the Select a list or code type field, use the drop-down menu to select Shipping Methods.
Click [ New] to open the New Shipping Method window.
Basic InformationBasic Information
In the Shipping Method field, enter the name of the shipping method.
In the Description field, enter a brief description of the shipping method.
In the Shipping company field, use the lookup to select a shipping company.
Completing the TransactionCompleting the Transaction
Click [ OK] to save the shipping method, or [Apply] to save the current shipping method and enter a new shipping method.
