Creating Contact Task Types

Task types allow you to classify tasks that you have with contacts. For instance, your accounts receivable personnel might engage in a collection call with a contact, or you may document why a contact is contesting an invoice.

Getting to the TransactionGetting to the Transaction

From the Tools menu, select Lists and Codes to open the Lists and Codes window.

In the Select a list or code type field, use the drop-down menu to select Contact Task Types.

Click [New] to open the New Contact Task Type window.

Basic InformationBasic Information

In the Task type field, enter a brief code for the task type.

In the Description field, enter a brief description of the task type.

If only users with Accounts Receivable security permission should view this contact task type, then, in the Security field, select Accounts Receivable Console.

Completing the TransactionCompleting the Transaction

Click [OK] to save the task type.
