Creating Contact Categories

A contact category is a way to categorize what type of contact a person is for your company. You define the contact categories to suit your needs.

Getting to the TransactionGetting to the Transaction

From the Tools menu, select Lists and Codes to open the Lists and Codes window.

In the Select a list or code type field, use the drop-down menu to select Contact Categories.

Click [New] to open the New Contact Category window.

Basic InformationBasic Information

In the Category field, enter a brief code for the contact category.

In the Description field, enter a brief description for the contact category.

Completing the TransactionCompleting the Transaction

Click [OK] to save the contact category.
