Changing DG Server Settings

E-admin allows you to change your system configuration for a more advanced network setup. You use these DG Server settings to make these changes. These setting allow you to run unique instances of SQL Server and to direct your e-automate network traffic through a different port other than the standard 1331 port. In most cases you will not have to change any of the DGServer settings for standard installations. If you do decide to run SQL Server using a different port, you use these instructions to change your port designation. If you never designate the port, e-admin uses the standard SQL port, 1331.

From the e-admin menu select File > Settings > DGServer Port. E-admin opens the Change e-automate DGServer Port window.

In the New DGServer port field, enter the port you want to use with e-automate.

Click [OK] to change the port settings.

When you click [OK], e-admin displays the following message, reminding you that if you change the settings you have to restart all of your e-automate client systems as well as your DGServer service:

Click [Yes] to change the settings or [No] to leave the settings unchanged.

If you click [Yes] to change the DGServer port, restart all e-automate clients and the DGServer.
