Resetting the Admin Password
Admin is the only user in your e-automate system when it is installed. When installed the Admin user ID does not have a password associated with it, the password is blank. Best practice recommendation is that you associate a password with the user, Admin, for your database protection. Because the user, Admin is so seldom used it is possible that your company personnel may forget the Admin password. From within e-admin you use the Reset admin password functionality to reset your admin password. Once you have reset the password, you can use the new password when using the Admin user when logging into your e-automate database. If you have multiple e-automate databases, each database can have a different admin user password.
Login to e-admin.
Select the company for which you want to reset the Admin user password.
From the
Company menu, select Reset admin password. You can also
right-click on the company and select Reset admin password.
E-admin displays the Reset Admin Password window.
In the New admin password for 'Company selected' field, type your new admin user password.
Click
[OK] to save your new admin user password.
Note:
To leave the password unchanged, click [Cancel].
